At least 14 people have died, while 9 others have been injured after an Uttarakhand Transport Corporation bus carrying 25 passengers skidded off the Rishikesh Gangotri highway into a 250-metre deep gorge on Thursday. The incident occurred near Suryadhar in Uttarakhand.
A magisterial enquiry has been ordered into the incident.

Police, fire department from Tehri district, disaster response team from Chamba and local administration have reached the spot as search and the rescue operations continue.
District Magistrate and Sub-Divisional Magistrate are also present at the spot to take stock of the situation.
After an order by the state government, helicopters are being made available to transport the injured to AIIMS.
A compensation of Rs 2 lakh each has been announced for the next kin of the deceased, while Rs 50,000 will be provided each to the injured.
