A minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by four unidentified men and a hospital staffer, where she was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Bareilly. Superintendent of Police (city) A Singh said the girl was hospitalised after she was bit by a snake and was put on a ventilator.
She was later moved to the general ward, where she narrated her ordeal to others, he added.
“Victim narrated her ordeal after she was shifted to the general ward. A case has been registered and the investigation is underway,” Singh said.
The police immediately reached the spot upon learning about the incident and an FIR was lodged, he said, adding the police have commenced investigation.
An FIR has so far been lodged against the hospital staffer and four other unidentified men who are absconding.
