UP govt seeks Shamli's inclusion in NCR

Muzaffarnagar: Uttar Pradesh government has sent a proposal to the Centre for inclusion of Shamli district in the national capital region (NCR), a senior official said today. 

District authorities recommendation to include Shamli in NCR has been approved by the state government and was sent to Union government, Shamli District Magistrate Sujit Kumar said here. 

Shamli is located between Haryana's Karnal and Panipat districts, both of which are a part of NCR.
