Strong tremors were felt in New Delhi and other parts of National Capital region at around 4:30 am today after a magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck neighbouring Haryana.
The tremors, which lasted for about one minute, shook Delhi and neighbouring areas.
According to the US Geological Survey, the epicentre of the quake was Bawal in Haryana's Rewari district. The earthquake was at a depth of 10KM.
There were immediately no reports of damage or casualties in Delhi and surrounding areas.
Despite being very early in the morning, many citizens took to Twitter soon after tremors.
