As part of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign that he launched earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday reached a school in Paharganj area of the national capital where he cleaned the premises.
PM Modi swept the surroundings at Baba Sahib Ambedkar Higher Secondary School. Wearing a pale pink half-sleeve kurta, PM Modi was seen picking up pieces of paper and disposable plastic glasses with his hands.
The PM also interacted with some students and shared his views over the importance of cleanliness.
The Prime Minister's Office said no special traffic arrangements were made for his movement and that he reached the school in usual traffic conditions.
Earlier, PM Modi interacted with people via video conferencing to launch Swachhata Hi Seva movement, a fortnight-long event which will continue till October 2.
