An acid leak has been reported from Sterlite Plant in Tamil Nadu's Tuticorin, which was shut down by the Tamil Nadu government after widespread protests. The experts have been rushed to the spot to assess the situation.
According to ground report, the first incident of chemical leakage was reported on Sunday afternoon.
District Administration have formed a team of experts who are investigation the reported chemical leakage right now inside the plant, the sources said.
Based upon their observation the action will be taken against the plant, they said.
