Sons of three former UPA ministers caught on CCTV withdrawing huge cash amounts: Report

In what could turn out to be a huge embarrassment for the Congress party, sons of three former UPA ministers have been caught on CCTV camera withdrawing huge amounts of cash from a private bank in New Delhi.

In what could turn out to be a huge embarrassment for the Congress party, sons of three former UPA ministers have been caught on CCTV camera withdrawing huge amounts of cash from a private bank in New Delhi. 

According to a report in rediff.com, the Intelligence Bureau is in possession of the tape that shows the sons of these formers ministers withdrawing cash in large amount. 

On Tuesday, demonetised currency worth Rs 3.5 crore was seized after a joint team of Delhi police and Income Tax department officials raided a hotel in Karol Bagh area of New delhi.

On Saturday, Rs 13.5 crore in both old and new banknotes, had been seized from a law firm in Greater Kailash.

Income Tax officials are conducting raids across the country after reports of large-scale irregularities in note exchange appeared in the media. 

Huge amount of cash, mainly in new notes of Rs 2000 denomination, have been recovered in these raids.
