Indian Air Force (IAF) chief Arup Raha today said that situation on the Pakistan border is still “live” after the Indian Army carried out surgical strikes on terror launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
The IAF chief, however, asserted that the Air Force is fully capable of handling any eventuality, including a two-front war.
"Things are still live," Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha said while addressing the annual Indian Air Force press conference ahead of Air Force Day on October 8 but refused to answer questions on last week's surgical strikes.
Asked about IAF's preparedness in case of a two-front war, Raha said: "we are always ready and we will be ready".
He said the IAF had adequate resources to take on any challenge.
