In yet another shocking incident shedding light on atrocities against women in Uttar Pradesh, a primary school teacher in Kasganj district was allegedly attacked by four men who stormed into her class as the shocked students watched in terror.
According to a Times of India report, the victim teacher filed a FIR against Jitender, the younger brother of the local nagar panchayat president, and three others. In her complaint, she said that the four men barged into her classroom on Saturday morning and slapped and verbally abused her.
When the staff members rushed to help her, the accused fled threatening to kill her.
“Jitender is my neighbour and has been stalking me, though I'm married,” Times of India quoted the victim as saying in her complaint.
While the perpetrators are still on the run, Raffat Mazid, station officer of Sahawar has said that they will be arrested soon.
A few days ago, at least eight armed men had stopped the car of a family on the Delhi-Kanpur highway last Saturday night and dragged the members to nearby sugarcane fields and proceeded to rape 38-year-old mother and her 13-year-old daughter for three hours.
