Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Saturday hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleging that he had failed to fulfil his promise to build a multi-specialty hospital in Odisha.

Taking to Twitter, Rahul Gandhi, posting a video in which PM Modi is seen promising a super specialty hospital to a people of Odisha said: "On 1st April, 2015, the PM played an April's Fools' day joke on the people of Odisha as seen in this video. The Congress Party has begun a fund raise to shame the PM into keeping the promise he made. Please contribute generously using this link- https://contribute(.)inc(.)in/fundraiser/Odishahospital.

The Congress President was referring to the unique protest campaign started by the 30-year old idol maker Muktikanta Biswal. After seeing that PM Modi's promise failed to yield the results, Biswal picked up the national flag and embarked on a gruelling march from Odisha to Delhi to remind PM Modi regarding his so-called 'forgotten promise'.

Congress in the new social media campaign has asked people nation-wide to contribute economically to construct a hospital in the Rourkela village in the state.
