With the Rs 11,400 crore scam at the helm of a huge controversy in the country, the political battle has riled up as parties traded barbs at each other.

The fraud involves Punjab National Bank, billionaire jeweller Nirav Modi, his family members including uncle Mehul Choksi. With a new development unfolding each day, the fraud is being seen as India's biggest banking fraud yet.

Nirav, who was alleged to have carried out fraudulent transactions worth over Rs 11,400 crore in Punjab National Bank, had left the country on January 1, while his uncle and business partner Mehul Choksi, left on January 4.

Here is a look at who said what:

1. Rahul Gandhi (Congress President)

The scamster's escape formula:

                Na(Mo)
La(Mo) + Ni(Mo) -----> Bha(Go)

2. Prakash Javadekar (BJP)

The scam which has come into light is a scam of the UPA Govt. This started during UPA's reign in 2011. It is the alertness of the NDA govt which has brought this scam into the light. All the NPAs, the wrongful distribution of loans, amongst others were all passed down to us by the UPA Govt. This is a scam by the bank & not the govt.

Finance Secretary during UPA's regime, instead of taking action, forced Dinesh Dubey to resign. We are asking who pressurised the Finance Secretary to pressurise Dinesh Dubey?

3. Arvind Kejriwal (AAP)

BJP govt shud give specific timelines by when will they bring Vijay Mallya and Neerav Modi back to India. By when will the money be recovered from them?

4. Randeep Surjewala (Congress)

If all the layers of this scam are opened up, the scam will go up to Rs 30,000 Crore. Modi govt's new buzz word 'Udaan' has found a new meaning - 'every scamster can flee & fly undetected & unchecked.

5. Raghav Chadha (AAP)

There is a new entry in the dictionary to describe the way scamsters operate. It's called Modis Operandi.

6. Sitaram Yechury (CPI-M)

Modi's silence on Modi's (Nirav) escape speaks loudest.
