New Delhi: The Narendra Modi government is gearing up for a country-wide celebration to mark two years in office. On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a song titled ‘Mera desh badal raha hai, aagey badh raha hai’ (My country is changing, moving forward) as part of celebration of two years of NDA government.
The song in Hindi highlights the achievements of government in different sectors including financial inclusion scheme like Jan Dhan Yojana, girl child education and Make in India, poverty alleviation, business opportunities, farmer insurance, infrastructure development and employment to youth through skill development.
The lyrics of the song lists the measures taken by the government like 'Jan Dhan Yojana' to 'Beti Bacho, Beti Padhao' to show how they have brought an improvement in the condition of the people.
Officials said the song, in which adman Piyush Pandey also contributed, is one of the several activities the government is undertaking in this regard.
Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is coming out with the achievements of various departments and ministries, they said, adding that ministers and MPs will also travel to various parts of the country to disseminate information about the development activities undertaken by the government.
Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu said while PM Modi will to kick-start the month-long celebration by addressing a mega rally in Saharanpur on May 26, the day BJP-led government completes two-years in office, other central ministers will take charge in different parts of the country. He said that Central Ministers will cover 200 towns and cities till June 24 telling large gatherings about the government's achievements.
