Prime Minister Narendra Modi spent his 68th birthday at his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi. PM Modi visited the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple where he offered special prayers with lotus flowers and 11 litres of milk. In the evening, PM Modi interacted with students of government primary school in Narur village.
After a long day criss-crossing his constituency, PM Modi was scheduled to spend the night at the Diesel Locomotive Works guesthouse. However, he surprised all by deciding to visit Manduadih Railway Station.
Locals present at the station were pleasantly surprised to see the prime minister amongst them. PM Modi spent a few minutes at the platform number 1 and interacted with people.

Soon the news about PM Modi's late night tour spread and hundreds lined on the streets outside the railway station to get a glimpse of the PM. Sources said PM Modi wanted to see what changes his constituency has gone under during in the last four years.
PM Modi later returned to the guesthouse.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also accompanied the PM during the city tour.
PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth over Rs 500 crore in Varanasi on Tuesday. Among the projects to be inaugurated by Modi are Integrated Power Development Scheme for Puraani Kashi and an Atal Incubation Centre at the Banaras Hindu University (BHU). The projects for which the foundation stone will be laid include the Regional Ophthalmology Centre at the BHU.
