At least one person was dead, while three others were injured after a portion of an under-construction building collapsed in Mumbai late on Sunday. The incident was reported from PMGP colony in Dharavi area of the city. The injured are receiving treatment at a hospital.
It is being alleged that the incident occurred due to the negligence of the contractor.
Commenting on the incident, a resident of the PMGP colony said, "A pipe fell from the under-construction building, one person who died in the incident was an auto-rikshaw driver. Another person riding a bike also sustained injuries, we took him to the hospital."
"The incident took place at around 10:30 PM," he said.
A team of fire officials and police were present at the spot as soon as they received information about the incident.
