Securitymen stationed at Parliament House complex swung into action when a taxi rammed into a barricading pole at one of the entry points on Tuesday morning.
A white colour Toyota Innova collided with a pillar at the entry gate of Parliament which set off security siren. Security personnel took positions immediately to thwart any challenge.
However, later it emerged that the driver of the vehicle failed to negotiate the security pillars and collided with one of them.
The vehicle was allowed to proceed only after a thorough security check.
