New Delhi: BJP MP and Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal today offered his apology to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and citizens of the national capital after he violated the ongoing odd-even scheme.

Paresh travelled in an even numbered car to reach Parliament but as today is an odd number date, vehicles with only odd number plates were allowed on the roads.

“Made a serious blunder... Sorry to Arvind ji and Delhiites,” the Bharatiya Janata Party MP tweeted.

Also, the actor was fined by the authorities for the violation. He also tweeted a copy of his challan.

Members of Parliament have not been given exemption under the odd-even scheme, the second phase of which started on April 15 and will end on April 30.

The violation of the car-rationing scheme attracts a penalty of Rs 2,000. President, Prime Minister, Vice-President, union ministers Chief Justice of India, judges of high courts, women among others are exempted under it.

The Arvind Kejriwal led Delhi government had also announced a special DTC bus service for MPs to reach parliament that resumed its budget session from today.
