Delhiites can expect some respite from hot and humid weather conditions with the weather office forecasting a "generally cloudy" sky on Monday with the possibility of "thundery development".
The national capital on Sunday recorded a maximum of 40.1 degrees Celsius, three notches above the normal for this time of the year, the meteorological office said.
The minimum was 28.5 degrees Celsius, a notch above the normal.
There has been no rain in the metropolis in the past two days.
The humidity levels today oscillated between 40 per cent and 83 per cent.
However, Delhiites can hope for some respite from hot and humid conditions with the weather department forecasting a "generally cloudy" sky tomorrow with a possibility of "thundery development" towards the evening.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be 39 degrees Celsius and 29 degrees Celsius respectively, a weather department official said.
Earlier on Saturday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 38.3 degrees Celsius and 28.2 degrees Celsius respectively. The humidity level had reached a high of 83 per cent.
