A major fire has broken out in a factory in Mumbai's Malad area. At least 10 fire tenders are at the spot trying to control the flames.
Thick black smoke was seen emanating from the factory building from a distance.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Last month, four people were killed and 16 others were injured in a fire which broke out at a posh high-rise residential building in Dadar. Dozens of people were rescued from different floors of the 17-storey Crystal Tower building near Hindmata Cinema.
In December, 2017, a fire that started at a rooftop pub hosting a birthday party spread rapidly through the building, killing 14 people, most of them women, shortly after midnight in Kamala Mills area.
