Angry locals thrashed a temple manager for allegedly molesting a minor girl in Haryana's Yamunanagar city on Tuesday.
The mob stripped off the clothes of the manager of Yamunanagar's Shani Mandir temple committee and blackened his face. He was then dragged on foot to the Yamunanagar police station.
The temple manager has been accused of allegedly molesting a girl, who was working in the temple, on the pretext of checking after he levelled allegations of theft against her.
An FIR has been filed following the complaint lodged by the girl. Speaking of the incident, the girl said; "I was molested as he (temple manager) alleged me for stealing the temple keys. He touched me inappropriately on the pretext of checking my body".
Meanwhile, an investigation into the matter has been started. Police authorities are questioning the members of the temple management along with the accused.
The accused is yet to be arrested.
