YSR Congress Party president and Andhra Pradesh nee chief minister, YS Jaganmohan Reddy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday morning in New Delhi.
After his landslide victory in the Andhra Pradesh assembly polls, Reddy discussed providing outside or issue-based support to the Modi-led Central government.
The YSRCP chief had earlier promised the people of Andhra that if his party comes to the power, his government would support whoever promises the state a special category status.
After holding a meeting with the prime minister, Jagan interacted with Andhra Bhawan officials.
The YSRCP president will be sworn as the new chief minister of Andhra Pradesh on May 30 in Vijayawada.
In 2019 Andhra Pradesh assembly polls, YSRCP registered a thumping victory by winning 151 of 175 assembly seats and 22 Lok Sabha seats out of 25 in the state.
