India TV-CNX Exit Poll Maharashtra: The BJP-Shiv Sena combine is all set to win 34 out of 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra, India TV-CNX Exit Poll has predicted. The Congress-NCP is likley to increase its tally in comparison to 2014 but is likely to bag 14 seats (Congress 8, NCP 6).
In Mumbai, Shiv Sena is predicted to win 3 and BJP at 2 seats. NCP is likely to gain 1 seat but Congress Party has failed to open its account in India's commercial capital. Clearly, its bet with film star-turned-politician Urmila Matondkar has failed to give it any result.
Maharashtra is currently ruled by Shiv Sena-BJP alliance. BJP's Devendra Fadnavis is Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Maharashtra Congress chief and former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan claimed that Congress-NCP combine will score well above 20 in Maharashtra. He was speaking exclusively to India TV.
