Global aerospace major Lockheed Martin has unveiled F-21, a new fighter aircraft, specifically configured to meet the requirements of Indian Air Force.
“Introducing the F-21. The aircraft uniquely positioned to meet the needs of the Indian Air Force,” Lockheed Martin said in a tweet.
Lockheed Martin’s offer assumes significance as it comes amid Indian air force's ongoing competition for over 100 fighter aircraft to be produced under “Make in India” initiative.
Lockheed Martin will produce the new aircraft in collaboration with Tata Advanced Systems.
Many companies including Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Saab and Dassault Aviation are competing for the order floated by the Indian Air Force.
