Two Navy personnel were killed in a freak accident at Kochi naval base on Thursday, a Defence spokesperson said.
According to reports, one of the sections of the sliding door of an aircraft hangar collapsed and fell on two Navy officers at the naval base - INS Garuda - injuring them seriously. The personnel who worked as Chief Petty Officers were rushed to a nearby hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries.
A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to look into the reasons leading to the accident.
