Mumbai Police has urged people not to accept the Keke Challenge or 'In My Feelings' challenge which has become the latest rage on the internet. In the department's now-famous witty social media style, it has asked people to not risk their own or others' life by participating in the challenge or 'be ready to face the music'.
They tweeted on their official page, "Not just a risk for you but your act can put life of others at risk too. Desist from public nuisance or face the music ! #DanceYourWayToSafety #InMySafetyFeelingsChallenge".
What is the Keke Challenge or In My Feelings challenge?
The Keke Challenge is a viral trend that’s taken over the web. It involves one person getting out of a slow moving vehicle and dancing to a few lines from the Drake’s hit new song — including the signature heart move you’ve been seeing on your Instagram feed — all while the driver films this. The challenge part of this is that they must keep up with the speed and direction of the vehicle while they dance.
Several Indian and international celebrities have taken this challenge and posted the videos on net, inspiring millions of others to make their own videos.
However, the challenge poses serious safety risks. Several people on Twitter have come forward to criticise the trend. One of he video widely shared for condemnation shows a girl being hit by a fast car while shooting the Kiki challenge.
Mumbai Police's appeal has also found support from the Twitterati, who are appealing people not to take up the challenge for their own safety.
The Mumbai Police's modified hashtag #InMySafetyFeelingsChallenge got so much support from the public that it had started trending.
At the end, it does not matter if Keke loves you or not, what matters is you love yourself. Hope some of these videos will help stop the 'public nuisance'.
