Ashram of Swami Sandeepananda Giri, director of School of Bhagavad Gita, was attacked by unidentified miscreants in Thiruvananthapuram, earlier on Saturday.
Th incident was reported from Kundamankadavu. At least two cars and a two-wheeler, belonging to the ashram, were also set ablaze.
The spiritual leader had reportedly supported women's entry into Sabarimala.
On September 28, a five-judge Constitution bench of the Supreme Court, headed by then chief justice Dipak Misra in a 4:1 judgment had lifted the centuries-old ban on the entry of women of menstrual age into the shrine.
