According to a Times of India report, LDA vice chairman and Tiwari’s batchmate P N Singh had booked the room in his name and was with him last night.
While Singh went to play badminton around 6am at a Gomtinagar stadium, Tiwari stepped out for a morning walk. He had barely covered a distance of 300 metre from his room when he collapsed on the road.
The identity card found from his body shows that he died on his birthday -- May 17.
Police said that Tiwari’s death was unnatural but they were waiting for the post-mortem report to ascertain the exact cause of his death.
