Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi’s house in New Delhi was burgled in the early hours of Tuesday and his Nobel Prize certificate stolen among other valuables.
Kailash Satyarthi is presently in the United States.
Delhi Police has registered an FIR under section 380 (house theft) of the IPC.
Police officials have launched a manhunt for the suspects. All scrap dealers and local criminals from the area have been detained, as part of police investigation.
Fingerprints and other evidences have been lifted from the spot.
Satyarthi’s residence is located in south Delhi's posh Alaknanda area.
