Terrorists opened fire at an Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam on Thursday morning. According to initial reports, jawans responded immediately to the gun fire forcing the terrorists to flee. A civilian was injured in the gunfire. He has been admitted to a local hospital.
The area has been cordoned off and a combing operation is underway to nab the attackers.
Terrorists had abducted and killed a civilian in Kulgam last week on charges of being an Army informer. This was second such incident in the Valley in recent days.
The throat-slit body of Huzaif Ashraf (19), a resident of Manzgam area of Kulgam, was found on November 17 in Shopian.
