Jammu and Kashmir: BSF jawan commits suicide in Rajouri

A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan allegedly shot himself dead by his service rifle in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district. The incident took place inside a camp in the area, officials said on Sunday. Head constable
Ram Charan was posted with the 126th battalion and was on duty at the time of the incident.
He fatally shot himself in the neck at Sunderbani BSF headquarters late Saturday evening, the officials said.
The constable was rushed to a local hospital by his colleagues who had heard the gunshot, where he was declared brought dead, the officials said.

A case in this regard was registered by the police and the body of the deceased was handed over to his unit after the completion of medical and legal formalities, they said.
