To mark International Women's Day, PM Modi on Thursday launched the pan-India expansion of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao programme. Earlier in the day, the prime minister interacted with beneficiary mothers and girl children in Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu.
The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao programme, which was launched by Modi in 2015 at Panipat in Haryana, currently exists in 161 districts and will be taken to 640 more.
