India's most wanted terrorist and Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar is "alive", sources have confirmed India TV. Putting an end to the speculations about the JeM founder's death, India TV today confirmed that he is alive and is being protected by Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI.
India TV has not only confirmed that he is alive but has also found out his hideout. According to sources, the JeM founder is currently admitted in an army hospital. Earlier, Azhar was admitted in Rawalpindi's army hospital but was later shifted to Jem head office in Bawalpur. But he has been again shifted to a smaller hospital run by Pak army.
Highly places sources in the intelligence department say, Masood Azhar is being kept in room no 205 on the first floor of the hospital. No other room on the floor has been allotted to patients, they said.
The floor is being guared by 10 Pak army commandoes and two senior ISI officers 24X7, sources said.
Speculations remained rife about the JeM chief's death or sickness as Pakistan attempted to ensue confusion. First Pakistan Foreign Affairs minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Masood Azhar 'is very unwell' but when media started to question him, he refused to answer.
However, today Imran Khan's information minister Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan today confirmed that Masood Azhar was alive. There is no report of his death, the minister said.
