Defence Minister Nirmala Sithraman has assured that India is ready for any unforeseen situation like Doklam.
She said that the government is alert and is constantly working on the modernisation of the forces.
"We are alert and ready for any unforeseen situation in Doklam. We are constantly working on the modernisation of our forces. We will maintain our territorial integrity," she told media on Sunday.
Sitharaman's assurance has come after India's envoy in Beijing cautioned the government that any change of status quo along India-China border may lead to another Doklam like crises.
Though he asserted that there was "no change" at the standoff site even if the Chinese armed forces are trying to reinforce its troops "well behind the sensitive area".
The Indian Army and China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) had, on August 28, decided to disengage their troops from Bhutan's Doklam plateau after the months-long stand-off.
Tensions rose between the two countries when China began constructing a road in the plateau at Sikkim-Bhutan-Tibet tri-junction.
