Ahead of the crucial no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that it was an important day in country's parliamentary democracy, and that India would be closely watching everything.
Modi, who is expected to comfortably sail through the trust vote, also hoped for a constructive and disruption free debate.
"Today is an important day in our Parliamentary democracy. I am sure my fellow MP colleagues will rise to the occasion and ensure a constructive, comprehensive & disruption free debate. We owe this to the people & the makers of our Constitution. India will be watching us closely," he said on Twitter.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is making every muscle work to make the Congress repent its decision to seek today no-trust debate in Lok Sabha. All eyes will be on fence-sitters like AIADMK and the BJD, followed by the day-long debate where both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress President Rahul Gandhi are likely to speak.
