Hyderabad witnessed a horrific murder in full public view on a busy street on Wednesday night. The video of the brutal murder has gone viral. A 35-year-old man was stabbed multiple times with a butcher knife by an auto-driver even as a number of onlookers captured the incident on their mobile phones. However, no one came forward to stop the attacker.
According to reports, an argument broke out between the victim identified as S Qureshi and accused M A Khaja, 30, over some issue.
In one of the videos shot by an eye-witness, the accused is seen stabbing the victim multiple times in the throat. A traffic constable tries to stop him but later moves back.
Khaja is even heard in the video admitting his crime, saying he killed Qureshi as he abused his mother and sister. He later kicks the body and sat near it.
During questioning it was revealed that Qureshi had given his autorickshaw to Khaja and there was dispute over it after he had given the three-wheeler to another person, a police official said.
The latest incident brought back chilling memories of September 26 murder in which a 28-year-old man was killed in broad daylight on a busy road in Attapur area of the city by two men with an axe. Later, it was revealed that the two persons had attacked the deceased to take revenge over the murder of their kin.
