A small trainer aircraft crash landed in agricultural fields on the outskirts of Mokila village near Shankarpalli of Ranga Reddy district on Wednesday. The pilot of the Cessna aircraft escaped with minor injuries in the crash which took place about 75 km from from Hyderabad.
The actual cause of the crash is yet to be ascertained. Preliminary investigation pointed towards some technical glitch in the plane. The four-seater aircraft was acquired recently by the Rajiv Gandhi Aviation Academy in Hyderabad.
"As per preliminary information, the aircraft crashed due to some technical problem. The trainee pilot is safe," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shamshabad Zone) N Prakash said.
