A juvenile was arrested for luring a 10-year-old girl from her house in East Delhi's Ghazipur area and raping her. The victim has been rescued from a madrasa in Ghaziabad. According to reports, the cleric of the madrasa was also held as locals protested demanding immediate action against him.
Locals staged protest at the NH-24 and held a candle light vigil demanding action in the case. The protest led to severe traffic jam on the busy stretch.
The girl's father had approached the police on April 21 claiming her daughter has gone missing. The police registered a case and began probe into the case. During the course of investigation, CCTV footage showed the girl is being taken away by the 17-year-old accused.
The cops then traced the juvenile to a madrasa in Ghaziabad and arrested him. Reports said that the girl's family was known to the accused as the lived in same locality in Ghaziabad earlier.
