Fake Rs 2,000 notes worth Rs 2 lakh seized in Madhya Pradesh, two arrested

Fake Rs 2,000 notes amounting to Rs 2 lakhs were also seized, police added.
According to police, the accused with the help of a colour printer were printing fake Rs 2000 new notes. Further investigations are on.
Earlier on Dec 18, MP police arrested two persons for printing fake notes of Rs 2,000 denomination in Burhar town under Shahdol district.
The accused, Ravi Gupta and Amit Rai, scanned the new Rs 2,000 notes and took out coloured photocopies.
“Gupta used the fake notes at a petrol pump. Upon suspicion, the petrol pump workers informed the police,” Burhar police station in-charge Prafull Rai had said.
