The Muslim community of two distinct places, Allahabad in UP and Gaya in Bihar, have set examples of communal harmony by showing utmost respect for the sentiments for their Hindu brethren.
In Allahabad, the Muslim community demolished parts of various mosques in the old city area on their own to facilitate widening of roads that is being carried out by Yogi Adityanath government ahead of next year’s Kumbh Mela.
Similarly, in a Muslim-majority village of Gaya, the members of the community constructed a temple for the Hindu residents of the village who were forced to perform Yagna under the open sky as there was no temple in the area.
While Mansur Ahmad of Buddhapur village in Guraru area donated land for the temple, Mohammad Akhtar donated Rs 3.5 lakh for the construction of the temple.
