Delhi pollution: Air quality remains in 'very poor' category; minimum temperature at 8 degrees Celsius

Air quality in the national capital continued to be in the 'very poor' category on Monday as the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 386, according to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research. The minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 8 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.

"The mist will remain throughout the day," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

The maximum temperature during the day is expected to hover around 21 degrees Celsius. The humidity level at 8:30 am was at 77 per cent.

At least 12 train arrivals in Delhi were delayed due to fog or low visibility.

The minimum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 8.5 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.

The maximum temperature however, settled at 23.5 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
