The Delhi Police on Saturday announced a reward for information on the man who was caught masturbating next to a woman onboard a bus in Delhi. The act recorded by a Delhi University student on her mobile phone, was later uploaded on social media platforms.
A cash reward of Rs 25,000 has been announced by the Delhi Police, who have also released a photograph of the accused.
The DU student had registered an FIR with the Delhi Police with regard to the incident on February 7. The girl alleged molestation and said, "he tried to touch my waist a number of times."
Expressing her ordeal, the girl had also revealed how the people in the bus turned mute spectators and ignored when she approached them for help. Acting on the victim's complaint, police booked the man under Sections 354 (sexual harassment), 354A, and 294 (obscene act in public place) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
