The Delhi Government-led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday approved 10 per cent EWS reservation in governmnet jobs.
In January this year, the Narendra Modi had resolved to bring in a constitutional amendment that would enable 10 per cent reservation in government jobs and education for economically weaker upper sections of the society.
Soon after the announcement, Kejriwal targeted the BJP governmnet in a cryptic tweet, saying that 'his party will support the government if BJP will amend the Constitution before the 2019 election.' He went on to state that 'this move by the government will be termed as another political stunt by BJP ahead of the elections, if it is not passed before 2019 polls.
The party also questioned the intentions of the BJP-ruled Centre for proposing a 10% reservation for the economically weaker section (EWS) in employment and education.
