Unidentified miscreants on Monday shot dead a Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) leader in Bihar’s Bhojpur, police said. According to a district police official, Ramakant Ram was attacked while on his way to defecate in the open, in a nearby field of his village Nadhi, under Sahar police station.
Investigations began after a case was registered by the police.
Protests were carried out by local residents against the state government. The residents, mostly party workers were angry over the incident.
