As per ANI report, 36 trains were delayed, 13 cancelled and 2 rescheduled due to low visibility and other operational reasons.

The national capital on Saturday remained under dense fog as cold wave continued to create chill in the city leading to delay and cancellation of over 40 trains.

As per ANI report, 36 trains were delayed, 13 cancelled and 2 rescheduled  due to low visibility and other operational reasons.

"The sky would remain clear in the day ahead," an official of the India Meteorological Department said. The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 25 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, Air Quality Index of Delhi's Lodhi Road area shows prominent pollutants PM 2.5 and PM 10 falling in 'very poor' category.

On Friday, up to 30 trains were delayed, 18 cancelled and five rescheduled as cold weather conditions intensified. Friday's minimum temperature recorded at 6.8 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature settled at 25.3 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season's average.

On Thursday, besides 19 trains being cancelled, 26 trains arrived late, while seven others had to be re-scheduled.
