The Pakistan Army violated ceasefire in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir, on Thursday morning. The Indian Army retaliated strongly. This is the seventh ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Poonch sector in the last three days.
There is no report of loss of life.
On Wednesday, the Pakistan Army resorted to firing on forward posts along the Line of Control (LoC), a defence official said. Pakistani troops targeted posts in Gulpur and Khadi Karmara in Poonch district.
With India, Pakistan has been increasingly violating the 2003 ceasefire agreement. It has resorted to firing and shelling along LoC on Tuesday.
