Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's wish of having 'Dahi churra' during his jail stay will soon be met with as the CBI court granted his wish in this regard. Yadav is currently undergoing 3.5 years imprisonment for corruption in a fodder scam case.
The former Bihar chief minister requesting for bail before the special CBI court in Ranchi, insisted judge Shiv Pal Singh for letting him have the curd and flattened rice delicacy as part of Makar Sankranti celebrations.
"We celebrate Makar Sankranti in a grand way...by eating dahi churra" Lalu Yadav told the court. Giving a nod to Lalu's presser, the judge responded "I will get dahi chura arranged in jail".
This was not the end to Yadav's wishlist at Ranchi's Birsa Munda jail. He further complained to the judge saying that the jailor allows only three people in a week to meet him. In an attempt to convince the judge, Lalu pleaded "You have immense power... You can make anyone bend"
"But this power is vested in the legislature", the judge who had convicted Lalu Yadav in the fodder scam case, responded.
Even before his sentencing, Lalu had complained of biting cold in Ranchi jail, to which the judge quipped "If you feel cold, then play harmonium or tabla to beat the cold."
Another fodder scam case is inching closer to the judgment day, that could cause more trouble for Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is for the eighth time in a jail.
