CBI Special Court on Monday allowed Robert Vadra to travel abroad for six weeks for medical treatment. In its order, the court said Vadra has been allowed to travel to USA and Netherlands. He, however, cannot travel to London.
Moreover, the court said a look-out circular that had been issued against Vadra will remain suspended during this period.
Earlier on May 31, Robert Vadra had dodged the questioning of the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering case involving abroad assets.
Vadra, brother-in-law of Congress President Rahul Gandhi, was questioned by the financial probe agency for over seven hours. He was supposed to depose before the agency officials, but he sent his advocates instead.
The case relates to the ownership of 1.9 million pounds of overseas assets and undisclosed entities set up to evade tax.
