A court in Bihar's Arrah on Saturday awarded death sentence to 14 people 2012 hooch tragedy case in which 21 people were killed. The court sent one of the accused to two years in jail.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Ramesh Chandra Dwivedi had earlier held all the accused guilty under various sections of the IPC, the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and the Excise Act.
On December 7, 2012, a total of 21 people died after consuming spurious liquor in Arrah's Anaith locality under Nawada police station area.
