Nationalist Congress Party's Supriya Sule retained the Pawar bastion of Baramati as she defeated BJP's Kanchan Kool by a considerable vote margin. Sule got 1,55,774 more votes than her opponent.

Nationalist Congress Party's Supriya Sule is the current MP of Baramati Lok Sabha constituency.
In 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Supriya Sule defeated RSP's Mahadev Jankar by a margin of about 7 per cent votes.
Baramati is home turf and bastion of Sharad Pawar and his family. This is the traditional seat of the Sharad Pawar and more recently, his daughter Supriya Sule.
Baramati Lok Sabha seat has 18,13,553 voters of which 53 per cent are men while 47 per cent are women.
The seven phases of the Lok Sabha polls 2019 covered a total of 543 constituencies. Voting in the first phase was conducted on April 11.
Simultaneous elections were held for Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, and Odisha assemblies -- the results of which were also due on May 23.
