Noida: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority has toughened its stance against a real estate major and asked it to seal 1,009 flats and villas for large scale violation of the sanctioned plan, the Times of India reported.

The builder constructed 1853 flats in place of approved 844 units in Omicron sector. The authority said it will soon seal the illegal flats and take strict action against the builder.

The report also says nearly half of these 1009 units which include 105 villas are already sold.

According to a Times of India report," the developer has built 15 residential towers with a total of 1853 units in this 20 acre township.

The builder, however, denies any violation on its part.

The developer in question faced a major crisis two years back when Allahabad high court asked it to demolish two of its residential structures which was raised to 40 storeys against the permitted 24 storeys.

The High court order was later stayed by Supreme Court, which now hearing the case.
