At least 11 persons were injured after an explosion occurred inside Kamakhya-Dekargaon Intercity Express at Harisinga in Assam's Udalguri, news agency ANI reported. No casualty has been reported so far.
According to Northeast Frontier Railway PRO Nripen Bhattacharya, the minor intensity blast occurred at around 7 pm on Saturday. He also said that the train movement was not affected as train was at station and two more lines were available.
The PRO further said that the train has not received major damage. The reason behind the explosion is yet to be ascertained.
“It hasn't yet been confirmed whether it was bomb blast or short circuit blast. No casualties have taken place,” Nripen Bhattacharya said.
